Injectables & Facial Fillers

Diminish wrinkles and to give your skin an overall healthier, more youthful appearance

Injectable facial fillers are available to diminish wrinkles and to give your skin an overall healthier, more youthful appearance. With realistic expectations these injectable fillers can improve (and in some cases completely eradicate) wrinkles and deep facial lines Dr. Acharya is an expert in products which are FDA approved and can advise you as to which products you would benefit from the most.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the first FDA approved product to temporarily improve both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines around the sides of the eyes.

Side effects from BOTOX are typically mild and rare.  Temporary redness and swelling at the injection site is possible.  These effects usually resolve within a few days and can be covered with makeup if desired.  In rare cases, the medication may spread from the treatment area and cause temporary drooping elsewhere.  Dr. Acharya is careful to place the medication into the appropriate muscle and to educate patients on proper aftercare in order to reduce the likelihood of this occurring.  Before your treatment will discuss with you any possible side effects and answer any questions that you may have about safety

Dr. Acharya performs  Juvederm ® injection in his office. Depending on the area being treated, the procedure can take as little as five minutes to as much as thirty minutes to complete. A topical anesthetic, local anesthetic, or nerve block may first be administered for the patient’s comfort before injecting Juvederm® directly into the skin with a very fine needle.

Juvederm® has very few side effects. Some patients may experience redness or swelling at the injection site which can last for a few days. Nevertheless, work and other normal activities can be resumed right after treatment. Juvederm® is a safe and effective injectable that can be used for all skin types and colors and does not require prior testing.
